Brief Introduction --------------------- Total Annihilation Units Compilation Pack is a unit pack that contains over 230 3rd Party Units from various unit groups that have been thoroughly checked to ensure the quality of these units. The units that are in TAUCP have been revised and refined to ensure that the game is still balanced while maintaining the fun factor of the game. Here are some of the features of TAUCP at this moment : - Contains Over 230 3rd Party Units from various unit groups. - Conflict free and 99% bug free gameplay (nothing is 100% bug free) - Incorporates Switeck's TA Bugfix Version 1.6 - More Balanced Gameplay with 3rd Party Units - Includes a user friendly Installer to ensure smooth installation of the Unit Pack - Incorporates Switeck's Mostly Harmless AI Version 13 (don't let the name fool you!) - Includes 4 Units from TA-Power (with permission) - Arm Demolisher (Heavy Lightning Tank), Core Incinerator (Flamethrower Tank), Arm Deterrer and Core Scatterer (Rapid Fire Plasma Batteries) - Total Annihilation Units Compilation Pack is based on Total Annihilation Units Independancy Pack Version 2.1 created by CyberKewl (that's me!) 2. Installation & Uninstallation Instructions --------------------------------------------- Firstly, you need to get Macutator (6.0.1 or above) at http://www.macutator.com , all instructions on how to enable/disable/install mods or conversions like TAUCP can be found there. After you have installed Macutator (6.0.1 or above), extract TAUCP23.sit and TAUCP23AI.sit to your Macutator Files directory. Once you're done, just run macutator and enable : - Switeck's Mostly Harmless AI 1.3 for TAUCP - Total Annihilation Units Compilation Pack You MUST enable BOTH the AI mentioned above and NO other AI as well as TAUCP itself. If you do NOT do so, the AI will not do anything in skirmish but stand there. Also in this NEW version, you MUST now select which section(s) that you want to enable during gameplay such as Air Units, Structures, Hovercrafts, etc. You can do this via the UfoManager in Macutator. Note : If you get an error message of "armfark_dead" missing or something similar, here is what you should do : Go to 'setup' in macutator and check everything BUT battle tactics. 3. Changes Made To Gameplay & Hotkeys ------------------------------------- - Metal Extracters and Moho Metal Extractors now extracts slightly more metal. - Core Krogoth (TA:CC) is now immune to paralyzer. - Core Krogoth's long range laser fires much faster but does less damage. - Arm & Core Commander now has an improved laser that has a longer range and does more damage. - Construction Seaplanes can now build the Advanced Aircraft Plant. - Adv. Const Submarine can now resurrect dead units/structures. - Flamethrowers now do more damage and have a larger area of effect - Arm Penetrator's max damage / health is now doubled from original TA and moves much faster than before. - Arm Shooter's weapon reload time has been reduced from 20 to 15 seconds. - Arm Maverick's build time has been reduced and it's metal cost has been slightly increased. Max damage / health has been increased as well. - Core Sumo moves slightly faster. - Core Instigator's laser has a longer firing range. - Arm Ambusher & Core Toaster's hit points has been increased by 1000 more hit points. - Arm Ambusher & Core Toaster now takes slightly less time to reload its weapon. - Arm & Core Light Laser Towers now have slightly further firing range, does slightly more damage and has more armour as well - Construction Kbots (both Level 1 and Advanced ones) walk slightly faster now - Arm Hammer & Core Thud's weapon area of effect has been increased slightly - Core Thud's weapon firing range has been increased to match Hammer's firing range (it can now fire almost as far as Hammer) - Arm & Core Construction Hovercraft's acceleration speed has been increased slightly - Core Sumo's turn rate has been increased - Core Instigator's laser has a longer firing range. - Arm Ambusher & Core Toaster's hit points has been increased by 1000 more hit points. - Arm Ambusher & Core Toaster now takes slightly less time to reload its weapon. - Arm & Core Light Laser Towers now have slightly further firing range, does slightly more damage and has more armour as well - Construction Kbots (both Level 1 and Advanced ones) walk slightly faster now - Arm Hammer & Core Thud's weapon area of effect has been increased slightly - Core Thud's weapon firing range has been increased to match Hammer's firing range (it can now fire almost as far as Hammer) - Arm & Core Construction Hovercraft's acceleration speed has been increased slightly - Core Sumo's turn rate has been increased - Arm Annihilator's armor has been increased from 1410 to 2110. Its unit speed has been increased slightly (0.9 to 0.95) and its acceleration rate as well (from 0.01 to 0.05) - Core Doomsday Machine's weapon firing range has been increased from 600 to 880. Its metal cost, buildtime and energy cost has been increased and its armor has been reduced. Weapon damage has been reduced from 2500 to 1800 and its HLT laser has been replaced with a warlord laser - a much longer ranged one. To reflect this change, the Doomsday Machine's cost and build times have been increased significantly. - Arm Stumpy and Core Raider's firing range has been increased from 240 to 280 and its damage has been increased from 50 to 60. - Core Leveler's firing range has been increased from 260 to 300 and its speed has been increased from 0.8 to 1.1 (velocity) - Core AK has been upgraded to a better unit that has the instigator's weapon but has less armor than the instigator - Core Can's speed / velocity has been increased from 0.5 to 0.65 - Arm Warrior's weapon firing range has been increased from 240 to 260 and its weapon damage has been increased from 60 to 85 - Increased Arm Fido's weapon damage from 120 to 135 - Arm Zeus` weapon damage has been increased from 180 to 200 and its armor has been increased from 875 to 1075 - Arm Panther's armor has been increased from 1100 to 1250 - Arm Triton and Core Croc's weapon damage has been increased from 123 to 145. Triton's armor has been increased from 1230 to 1330 and Croc's armor has been increased from 1144 to 1244 - The firing range of HLT Towers (or units and structures that are using these type of lasers) has been increased slightly (around 20-40) - The damage of depth charges has been increased from 75 to 90 - Advanced Construction Submarines can now capture units or structures - Increased the area of effect for Arm Zeus` weapon from 16 to 28 - Torpedo bombers now do special damage against Arm Sea Dragon and Core Black Hydra (damage of up to 3000) - Improved brake rates for Arm Atlas and Core Valkyrie - Improved turn rate for both Arm Collossus and Core Hive and +0.3 metal production - Core Sumo's speed / velocity has been increased from 0.45 to 0.6 - Arm Zeus, Fido, Zipper, Core Pyro, The Can and Freaker are now immune to paralyzer shots. - Arm Shooter's weapon reload time has been reduced from 12 to 8, its firing range increased from 600 to 650 and its weapon does more damage than before (upped from 1230 to 1530) - Core Krogoth can now self-heal. - Arm & Core Moho Mines now costs less and takes less time to build. - Arm Penetrator is now immune to paralyzer shots. - Arm Penetrator's armor has been increased (+1000) to make these units more useful. - Increased sight distance for Arm & Core Commander (+100), increased build distance (+90) and armor (+500). - Increased sight distance for Arm Penetrator and Shooter (huge increase so that they can target units better in games where LOS is enabled). - Arm Shooter's cloak cost (energy) while moving and stationary has been reduced to 480 (stationary) and 700 (moving). - Core Doomsday Machine's HLT Laser has been replaced with a longer ranged laser (similar to Overseer or Warlord battleship). Due to this change, build times and costs had to be increased to ensure that this structure is still balanced. - Increased armor (+200) and metal cost (+40) for Arm Defender NS and Core Stinger. - Increased Arm Bulldog And Core Reaper's armor slightly (+100). - Increased Core Leveler's armor slightly (+150). - Increased Arm Warrior's speed / velocity (+0.15). - Increased Arm & Core Commander's speed / velocity (+0.25). - Improved weapon accuracy (cannon) for Arm Millennium and Core Warlord. - Improved weapon accuracy for Arm Bulldog and Core Goliath. - Torpedos does less damage on commanders. - Improved Arm Luger/Core Pillager's weapon accuracy. The metal costs has been increased as well to bring about a slight increase in firing range. - Core Goliath's armor has been increased (+200) and to reflect with this change, energy, metal and build times have been increased accordingly. - Light Laser Towers and units/structures that are using similar weapons now have a weapon firing range upgrade (1.4 times). The damage done by this weapon has been reduced to meet with the change. - Arm Panther and Zeus's weapon firing range has been increased (+60). - Increased Arm Skeeter and Core Searcher's sight distance (+150) - Increased Arm Hulk and Core Envoy's armor (+200) - Increased Arm Atlas and Core Valkryie's armor (+100) - Increased Arm Invader and Core Roach's velocity / unit speed (+0.2) and metal cost. NOTE: The crawling bombs cannot be selected with CTRL+G, because their "weapon" is their death. NOTE: Decoy commanders are not selectable with either CTRL+G or CTRL+W, but are selectable with CTRL+B. NOTE: Minelayers, Arm FARK, and Core Necro are selectable with CTRL+B. Special hotkeys : Factories and c-units now allow you to press q,w,e,r,f, and v for each build menu button. Q would be the build position 0 (top left), w for 1 (top right), e for 2 (middle left), r is for 3 (middle right), f is for 4 (bottom left), and v is for 5 (bottom right). Const Seaplanes now nanolathe much slower than before (but still almost 2x faster than an adv. const aircraft). - Arm Obliterator & Core Nebraska's long range artillery cannon does damage up to 3000 damage on super-units. - Arm Guardian, Gladius, Trident, Core Punisher, Kraken and The Gunner's plasma cannon does damage up to 1500 on super-units. - Arm Ambusher, Groundbreaker and Core Toaster's firing range has been increased (+80). The energy cost of Ambusher, Groundbreaker and Toaster has been increased to meet with this change. - Arm Ambusher, Groundbreaker and Core Toaster's plasma cannon does damage up to 1500 on super-units. - Arm Deterrer and Core Scaterrer's rapid firing plasma cannons does damage up to 1800 on super-units. - Reduced weapon area of effect for Arm Blade and Core Blackdawn from 30 to 15 and reduced unit armor as well. - Arm Shooter's weapon reload time has been reduced from 12 to 8, its firing range increased from 600 to 650 and its weapon does more damage than before (upped from 1230 to 1530) - Arm Iceangel and Core Fireangel's tertiary weapon damage against super units has been reduced to 5000 damage on super units (maximum). You need to build more of these units to take down superunits. The reason for this change is due to the weapon's large area of effect. - Improved Arm Luger/Core Pillager's and Arm Lobber/Core Bombardier's weapon accuracy. The metal costs has been increased as well to bring about a slight increase in firing range. - The rapid firing flak cannon's firing range has been increased from 900 to 1050. Arm Dragonslayer, Core Fury and other units using this weapon are affected by this change. - Arm Mercury and Core Screamer's weapon reload time has been reduced from 8 to 6 and its weapon damage has been reduced from 500 to 400 to meet with the reduced reload time. - Core Krogoth and Ketzer can now self-heal. - Arm & Core Moho Mines now costs less and takes less time to build. - Arm Archangel, Elite K-64, Shooter, Maverick, Core Darkspawn, Goblin, Neutralizer, Volca and Howie are now immune to paralyzer shots. - Arm Penetrator, Behemoth, Bolt Thrower, Gladius, Porcupine, Blitz, Demolisher, and Core Gargoyle, Absolutor, Horgue, Metron, Titan, Hellfire and Decimator are now immune to paralyzer shots. - Improved brake rates and turning rates for most hovercraft units especially advanced ones. This should make them more useful and easier to maneuver. - Arm Penetrator and Core Gargoyle's armor has been increased (+1000) to make these units more useful. - Reduced Arm Mercury and Core Screamer's weapon firing range from 1800 to 1600. - Increased sight distance for Arm & Core Commander (+100), increased build distance (+90) and armor (+500). - Increased sight distance for Arm Penetrator, Shooter, Mouse, Core Gargoyle and Metron (huge increase so that they can target units better in games where LOS is enabled). - Increased sight and radar distance for Arm & Core Prophet (Cloakable spotter vehicle). - Arm Shooter's cloak cost (energy) while moving and stationary has been reduced to 480 (stationary) and 700 (moving). - Core Doomsday Machine's HLT Laser has been replaced with a longer ranged laser (similar to Overseer or Warlord battleship). Due to this change, build times and costs had to be increased to ensure that this structure is still balanced. - Increased armor (+200) and metal cost (+40) for Arm Defender NS and Core Stinger. - Increased weapon area of effect to 64 (from 48) for units that uses missiles similar to Arm Merl, Core Diplomat, Core Loki, etc. - Core Rapper's metal and energy cost (+100), armor (+400), build time (+1000) and unit speed (+0.1) has been increased. - Increased Arm Bulldog And Core Reaper's armor slightly (+100). - Increased Core Leveler's armor slightly (+150). - Increased Arm Warrior's speed / velocity (+0.15). - Increased Arm & Core Commander's speed / velocity (+0.25). - Improved weapon accuracy (cannon) for Arm Millennium, Core Warlord and other units that are using the same type of weapon. - Improved weapon accuracy for Arm Bulldog, Core Goliath as well as other units that are using similar weapons. - Changed sound for Arm Exxec to the sound of a light laser turret to make it less annoying. - Arm Tempest and Core Adonis can now self-heal. - Arm & Core Aura, Arm Sea Dragon, Neptune, Sea Dragon, Core Atlantis, Black Hydra and Black Death are now immune to paralyzer shots. - Arm Tempest and Core Adonis are now immune to paralyzer shots. - Torpedos does less damage on commanders. - Arm Stingray and Core Thunderbolt are now equipped with warlord-like long range lasers. Its weapon reload time has been reduced from 3.0 to 0.7 with proper reduction in the damage done per shot. It'll probably take approx. 44 DIRECT shots to destroy an Arm Raptor compared to the original 4-5 DIRECT shots.
